EDANA Prepare For A New Event In Turkey

EDANA which is basic organization of European nonwoven producers, felt the pulse of sector in IDEA fair

Pierre Wiertz, General Manager of EDENA which is supreme institution of European producers and offers full service on the subject of nonwoven production, made significant explanation to textotex.com in IDEA fair. Wiertz who gave information about events in Russia, South Korea and Portuguese, stated that succeed of Qutreach program of EDENA is satisfactory degree. Pierre Wiertz who said that they gain experience in every events, “we took place a successful presentation. All supply chain is supported with this organization. Many countries were there and we introduce concept of new production presentation. We received positive answers from market. We made right steps about making up our deficient due to returns of firms. “said in terms of Outlook Asian Singapore Organization which was organized firstly outside Europe.

Wiertz who continue his explanations about fairs and symposium, by stating that many successful producers participate in symposium; “Conference bring point of view for Turkish Industry. We think organizing a program like this again in Turkey. We aim to make studies in sectors of medical, hygiene, filtration to attract more participants. We know that we should do a presentation which is in studies actively but not only plans organization.” stated.

Turkey Had An Incredible Growth Rate In Nonwoven Production

Wiertz who answered our questions about fields of market except events, stated that Turkey has a different structure except Asian and Europe. Wiertz emphasized that Turkey shows an excellent dynamism and catched growth rate in North Italian Industry of 1980 -90s especially nonwoven sector. Wiertz continued his speech this way; “It is possible to feel tracks of entrepreneurialism which Europe had in 90s. The fact that this sense in Turkey is more different than in Europe is a theme which shouldn’t be overlooked. This succeeds in weaving and nonwoven is important for emphasizing significance of developing countries history. Everybody say that THY is one of the most preferred and biggest airline. It is possible to make same comparison for textile and nonwoven industry in Turkey.” said.

Wiertz emphasized that aim of Edena is firstly Europe and Africa but industry which is developing over time, changed their aims. Wiertz said that “it isn’t true saying a market is more important than others. Also he stated that” We don’t make describing according to geography even in mature market in our vision and foresight of 2020 but we make discrimination between productions of high volume and low-value added. Wiertz finished his speech this way;” 10 Million tone nonwoven production in 2017 is predicted when production data on a global base are looked at. The countries which consist focal spot of this growth that will differ from between regions will be countries that we want to work effectively. I want to share that this growth will be %4.8 in Europe which includes Turkey and Russia.

Edena Explained  Nonwoven Production Statistics of 2012

Edena remarked with report of 2012 nonwoven production and delivery that production increased last year. According to figures which were explained by Jacques Prigneaux, Edena Market Analysis and Economic Relations Director, it is stated that nonwoven production volume increased %2.2. Prigneaux who said that total distribution reached 1, 954,000 tones and 57,690,000 square meters in 2012, said that spunmelt activities consists % 45of part and remaining part include fiber based materials. “Increase in production which is 3consecutive years after regression in 2009 was promising. But it is needed to say that demands of customers changed.” Prigneaux said.

Prigneaux who stated that hygiene wipes and automotive segments showed a growth rates higher than 5%, but construction, the second most important sector in volume, recorded a decline of 3% ; “I want to say that data base of Edena has clearness in terms of acquisition of knowledge. In this way studies of firm can be determined clearly. EDANA’s leadership in this area is based on a multi-dimensional expert system with internal consistency checks, based on verified reports of the consumption of raw materials. I want to state that many players from Europe and many companies from Middle East and Africa make new nonwoven investments. There is a significant point here. More than 100 major nonwoven producers are directly involved, representing over 85% of the production in both regions. The remainder of the market describes production of an equivalent number of generally much smaller players. “ said.

EDANA And INDA United Their Forces

EDANA and INDA which are two big institutions of global nonwoven market, make a move not to occur unfair competition. They explained that they United their forces for encouragement of free and fair trade. EDENA and INDA which made this decision to play active role in the upcoming US-European Union (EU) Free Trade Agreement negotiations firstly will try to remove 4.3% tariff on nonwoven imports into the EU from the US. EDANA and INDA which will form an International Trade & Trends Advisory Board (T&T Board) composed of Governmental Affairs representatives from both associations and include representatives from each association’s member companies, will work in fields of classification of nonwoven with commercial aims besides customs work.  Another objective of the T&T Board will be arrangement for countries which don’t make a separate trade classification of Nonwovens, in their own category or as an Engineered Fabric.

Dave Rousse, INDA President who made evaluations said that the productions which came from Europe aren’t made any application in customs of USA. Rousse who stated that firm has structure offering service in field of global, said that this system will help developments of companies. Pierre Wert, EDANA General Manager emphasized that governments should start free application in this matter by stating that EDENA has a clear decision about free trade. Wierzt continued by saying that “INDA and EDANA member companies represent a large share of the world’s nonwoven output. By working together, we can help our members’ business as well as support the growth of the entire nonwovens industry.”
